I'm a twenty year old free spirit who's trying to keep a track of her life just to observe what kind of a person I am. I'm vulgar from time to time, But really isn't everyone? My frustration level is always close to boiling point, and my patience, well, let's just say, I do need to keep that in check. I'm a girl with Hawaiian hips and Japanese humor. So, ladies and gentlemen, bear with me and do attempt to enjoy my nonsense-d key bashing that I call a blog. Life. Love. Liqueur Music /

New car!
Ladies and gentlemen (or to whomever it may concern) I have been missing for a week or so now. I went back to work after the wonderful two days off, and I've been exhausted. But, at the same time, I've had a lot of happenings. So let's start from the beginning:
Last Friday was my second day off of work: Duckie and I decided to hit up the cinemas since we haven't been able to in a while. We went and watched Despicable Me, which was a cute movie and had me laughing throughout the whole thing. Though, that's really easy to do since I have a short attention span. Let me tell you something though, the Character Agnes Is me in cartoon form. She is just the CUTEST and FUNNIEST little thing you will ever meet. She shares a love and devotion to unicorns and fluffy things just as much as I do. IT'S SO FLUFFY I COULD DIE! I definitely wish I could have that big fat unicorn. It's so fluffy! Unicorns song Alright, moving on. After the movie, we stopped by the car dealership to go talk to the salesperson who has been so nice and kind to us to help us find our car. We got a price check on the car we wanted and made an appointment to go back to see him on Sunday. He was nice enough to let us know that we could just bring in a check and leave that with them and just give them a call when my grandfather wired the money into our account, then we'd be ready to drive off in our new car. Then we returned home and got some rest before a big day at work on Saturday (which, must have been so big I can't even remember what happened). Sunday came along, and we were lazy until around the late afternoon when we finally decided to go visit the dealership. I got my checkbook ready, my ID and everything and went down to see them. Alright. So I was adamant on getting a black car, just because it's black. But I got a chance to see the white - and Do I LOVE the white or what? Anyways, we signed the paper works, wrote the check left it with them, about an hour of doing all the things you need to do to get a car, THEY LET US TAKE THE CAR HOME. Yeah, I know pretty cool. I have a white Honda 2WD CR- V EX-L with Navigation. They told us to give them a call when the money got transferred in. Which, it did and I called a yesterday. So This car is mine - And Duckie has been driving it around EVERYWHERE. And finally, got an insurance on it yesterday, how exciting is that? And I should be getting my driver's license in the next month or so. Wow, tons of new things happening at once! Unfortunately for me, I work five days in a row, and let me tell you - it's going to be a busy week at work. I hope your everyone's week went well.

Finally, a break.
Nine days straight, through fourth of July weekend and finally a break! Today and tomorrow are my two days off and I am completely stoked. A nice day relaxing, by first getting all of my errands done. We got our money order for rent done, sent in our utility bill, my deposit for my school, FINALLY sent my best friend's bags to her in Hawai'i.
After getting all of that out of the day, we begin our day off with a delicious lunch at Port of Subs. Where I got a Buffalo Chicken sandwhich, and Duckie got a Roast Beef and Turkey Sandwhich. This place is seriously delicious. If you have a port of subs near where you live and haven't tried it out yet, do go! Click here to find a location near you! After, that, we decided to spend the day walking around in Petaluma, which we did. It was slightly chilly today, but other than that, it was so much fun! We stopped by Heebee Jeebees, which is a fun little store, where they sell fun gookers. One of the things I've been wanting lately are these fun ice cube trays. They had a bit of a variety there, but I really like these two... They were about $10, so I didn't buy either of them, but perhaps next time I will. We then stopped by Jungle Vibe, which was a lot of fun. I got a Hello Kitty key cover for my new car that I SHOULD be getting sometime soon! After that, we stopped by the Mall to walk around before our five O'clock manicure appointment. I got two new shoes... Cute kitten heels (yes, of course, leopard print) I was looking for black ones so I could wear them to work, but I couldn't find a good pair, instead, I found these cute little Ballet Flats... It looks like On Pointe Ballet Shoes. I'm super excited for them! We stopped by the gourmet shop, where we got a mini slow cooker for about $6. How exciting! Now all we need to do is clean our house, get some groceries and we could put that slow cooker to good use. Finally, we went and got a GREAT deal at Coach, where I got a cute little ponytail scarf! I think I'm getting a bit too obsessed with the animal prints.... That ended our stay at the mall, and it was then time for our appointment. Five O'clock appointment, and we got there about fifteen minutes early. One hour later, we were ready to go, my nails beautifully ruby red, and Duckie's a cute french tipped. like so. The place we went was new to the both of us, and we both really liked it. Shangri La, a cute little store on North McDowell, located right next to the Sports Bar, Beyond the Glory, everyone was really nice and they did a great job on our nails. Click here to check out their website, and get their information and get an appointment there! All in all, the first day to my two day "mini vacation" went pretty well. Now, I'm going to end the day with a Harry Potter special on ABC family and also browsing pictures of my new car! How is your week coming along, readers?

Work is... interesting.
Working in retail really widens your perspective on the world because of the wide variety of people that comes in. From people who think they'll get a discount if they barter with us to people who are just way too young and spoiled to be even allowed in the store. Yes, interesting mix of people like to visit our store, and the most memorable moments are those where you're just head-desking.
Let's do a little recap of customers that I've encountered in the past. Micro Mini dogs are SO in right now. And we have people who bring in their cute little puppies who sit in their purse or stroller being the cute, quiet puppies they are. Minding their own business, and not really causing much of a problem to anyone. I AM in fact an animal lover, and I deeply understand the want and need to show off your pets (because I know I show pictures of my cat to ANYONE who stands still long enough), but what's really the line that should be drawn here? How big should be the dog that you take with you to go shopping? Service dogs are one thing but a Chow Chow? As cute and lion like he was, Chow Chows are very BIG. That is a one big ball of fur. A DOG is one thing, but what other pets could you take to shop with you? A rabbit? A Goldfish? But as Patti Page says, you can't take a goldfish for a walk. How about a parrot? Yes, you heard me correct. A Parrot. Some lady, a couple of months ago brought her parrot with her. And this parrot had bird turrets. Not with human words, but with squawks. I'm not sure if you guys have ever seen the movie Paulie... but, if it was Paulie coming into the store having his turrets, I'd be ecstatic, but alas, 'twas not. It was only a badly trained parrot with turrets, and the only thing its' owner tried to do was turn to it and go "shhhhh". It's a damn bird, lady. Children seem to be some people's accessories as well. And we have some ADORABLE babies who come in. Little heart breakers. But one thing I hate more than anything is when parents neglect their children when they're shopping, especially if your child has a mild to sever case of ADD, because let's face it, most children are like that. Because some parents are so busy being in their own world looking at which purse to buy, these little children have their own ideas of fun - Ransacking the store. And only when something in our display some where goes SLAM, BAM, WHAM do they realize that their children aren't where they last left them. So here we are, sales associates, baby sitting their children and making sure that they're not walking out of the doors. Okay, cute babies are one thing, but what about overly spoiled pre-teens? And what is it with them being sluttier than ever now? I saw a group of girls with their parents come in. The girls looked around eleven (but everyone looks eleven to me if they're younger) and they were wearing micro mini short shorts with a tiny shirt that showed off their stomach. Really? You're, what? Ten? Why are we being so slutty? I mean, I know it's hot, Jesus Christ, but put a shirt on that fits you. Overall, I think people are interesting, and it's so much fun people watching at our store, it really is a great way to pass the time. I almost forgot, it's fourth of July Weekend. What is everyone's plans? (Somebody....? Anybody....?) |
